It's a good read - the July Multiplex Newsletter
A long standing manufacturer of many things modelling, Multiplex's July Newsletter may have something for everyone
We can't cover every item included in the Newsletter - so if you're reading this Multiplex it would be really good if you could create an online HTML version so we can point people to it - and links in the newsletter back to product pages would also be useful. In the meantime, we have provided a link at the foot of this page so our readers can sign up for their very own copy in future.
Top of the Newsletter is the Wingstabi 12/16 with 35 A battery backer, a heavy duty triple axis gyro system for all fixed-wing model aircraft. These two boxes offer twelve and sixteen servo outputs respectively, and include an integral 2 x 35 A battery backer. The latest firmware (Vs 1.2.8) offers the following improvements:- New wing flap control facility: up to six wing flaps plus airbrakes- Model templates for the majority of MPX models - extremely useful! - New mixers and control settings - and many improvements to operating convenience.
The units are compatible with all current RC systems including Graupner, Futaba, Spectrum, M-Link, Jeti, HiTEC, JR and others.
Next up is the ROXXY Smart Control 45/70/100 series of ESCs, compatible with Multiplex's MSB telemetry system. These units have been permanently fitted sensors for voltage, current, temperature, motor speed and battery capacity.revised so they are smaller and lighter and as you might guess, they're available in 45A, 70A and 100A versions. They include permanently fitted sensors for voltage, current, temperature, motor speed and capacity and these are displayed at the transmitter via Multiplex's M-LINK telemetry system.
The ESCs include a switched BEC output, which can be programmed to output voltages between 5V and 8V.
Other items featured are a model bag for gliders which should accommodate two wing halves up to 1.2M and a fuselage, plus a section for the transmitter and other bits and pieces. With adjustable carrying straps the bag can be used while on foot or on a bicycle. Overall length is 1270mm, with a width of 270mm and thickness of 150mm.
Also in the newsletter - A 150A current sensor for FUTABA FASSTest telemetry transmitters, capable of measuring discharged current, battery capacity and voltage of the flight pack; and a universal balancer board for up to 8S LiPos; new firmware for the Royal SX and Hitec Aurora transmitters; and updates on Multiplex's sponsored pilots competition successes.
